During the existence of the Soviet Union, thousands of Czechoslovak citizens and ethnic Czechs were victims of political repression on Soviet territory. Within the project Czechoslovaks in the Gulag, the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes strives to find, make available and research the archival sources of the Soviet security forces on this subject. The website Digital Archive of NKVD/KBG Documents in Relation to Czechoslovak History makes accessible already obtained and processed materials, in particular personal investigation files and other documents from the Ukrainian archives, so that they can serve the general public for historical research and commemoration of the innocent victims of the Soviet regime. more project info
